Product Details

Inside of Mask
The fabric that rests over the eye area and on the face is fully breathable, 100% cotton. Mask is constructed from open-cell, fully breathable, foam padding with cut-outs for the eyes. Plush satin Comfort Bridge™ rests gently across the bridge of the nose to block light.

Outside of Mask
The exterior fabric of the mask is a soft, yet durable micro-plush mink. The outside fabric does not make contact with the face; it simply defines the look and feel of the mask and has been selected specifically to withstand the rigors of travel. We suggest choosing a color that you feel comfortable wearing. The Escape Mask is available in Black, Pink, Purple, Orange, Lime, Blueberry, Navy Blue options.

AS a person with MS I am light sensitive, even a little light can prevent me from sleeping. I have been buying from this company since about 2000, i have never been disappointed with their products. I wish they still had the infinity mask, loved it. You could just throw it in with the was.

The good: The way the interior of the mask it contoured, it really blocks out the light. It has 2 donut shaped pads that go around your eyes, and they seem to really make the mask comfortable and light blocking The bad: I am relatively sensitive to fabric dyes, and I react to the dye in this. The inside of the mask is black just like you expect, and I get a terrible metallic taste in my mouth after touching it -- the dye absorbs through my skin and I can taste it. It lasts for hours and is very annoying. I'm going to see if they get the organic masks back in stock, maybe that will help.

I have always had problems going to sleep, but what is even worse is with my work schedule - going to sleep at 5 am and staying asleep in the daylight. I have tried cheaper masks, and they press against your eyes, and always let in some light. This one is impressive. First of all, it stays on all night. Second, if you wake up and open your eyes, you don't see any light, don't have fabric pressing on your eyes, and it's just as easy to fall asleep again. My lashes are a bit long, so they do brush the mask slightly, but it's not really a problem - just a bit of a tickle. After the first night, I told my friend, "I bought the Rolls Royce of eye masks." *************** UPDATE: I have read several comments about the strap causing discomfort. It is worth it to note that if you line up the velcro perfectly and just leave it, the strap is elastic, so you can just stretch it over your head after that. I shave my head, and I find it quite comfortable. Also, for added comfort, I pull the strap up higher on the back of my head. This helps with that, but also helps the nose area do it's job and block out any light that may get in according to some people.

The velcro strap makes it very unconfortable to sleep on your side. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. Besides the strap, the mask is good quality and blocks light very well.

This is a great product. I just ordered a new one, and it's much stiffer and less comfortable than the last one that I've had for years. They changed the way they made it. But I still give it 4 stars as it's still the best one on the market. The original design and materials were 5 stars. I'm sure both designs will last forever, and maybe after a few washings, the new one will get softer. But my old one was soft from the start.

I loved the look of the mask when it arrived, but was a bit disappointed that the eye chambers where not aligned - one was much lower than the other. Also, the wide velcro strap made it a bit uncomfortable to wear. All in all I would say that this design is a good concept but could use some improvements, I still used it many times as it serves the main purpose. I do like this website and their products so I remain a returning customer.

I bought the Escape sleep mask after having used my usual airplane sleeping mask for a few months. I used to have a luxury sleeping mask but I've lost it, so I almost forgot how good it gets. It's GOOD. I have a big head, so the adjustable straps are really good for me - airplane ones would just hurt my head. Also, this was my first mask with eyes cavities. I personally don't really care if masks press down on my eyes, but it was cool to be able to open my eyes and 'see' complete darkness. The mask isn't bulky at all (only slightly thicker than the cheapies) and it's made from great materials. Since the first part of my 'going to sleep' ritual is to put my mask on, I find having a mask I really love makes a huge difference. I haven't tried to wash it yet, but it looks quite well made and like it would easily take a wash. All and all - highly highly recommended.

The Escape Luxury Travel and Sleep Mask has a major fan club out there. People love it and it gets an overall rating of 4.5 hearts. This Sleep Mask has two great features, first it has eye cavities, which means for most people your eyes nor eye lashes touch the fabric of the mask. Put on this mask and open your eyes and it's like staring into inky blackness. I am sure that there are some people out there with amazingly long eye lashes that could challenge my last statement and if you are one of these people then take a look at the Sweet Dreams Sleep Mask it has even deeper eye cavtities. Interesting historical fact the original reason the Escape Sleep Mask was created with eye cavities was so that women did not smudge their eye make-up when flying to their desinations on their travels. The second feature that customers rave about is the fully adjustable strap - it can be adjusted over and over which means two things, one it fits most peoples heads and second, when the elastic stretches overtime then you can keep on adjusting it so the life of this mask is prolonged. The padding at the bottom of the mask makes it perfect for a teenager like me. It blocks all the light as the mask fits my face just right. And will grow with me until I need a new one.
